Our mission is to connect shoppers with thoughtful, quality products from businesses that share our appreciation for faith, family, home, and intentional living.
We believe in supporting small businesses while creating a shopping experience customers can trust.
By submitting a vendor application, creating a vendor account, or selling products through Farm Where You Live Market (FWYL), you agree to the following policies and terms.
1. Vendor Applications & Approval
Farm Where You Live Market is a curated marketplace. All prospective vendors must submit an application and receive approval before selling.
- Vendor applications are free.
- Approval is based on product relevance, quality, professionalism, and alignment with our marketplace standards.
- Submitting an application does not guarantee acceptance.
- FWYL may request additional information, product photographs, business credentials, or licensing documentation before approval.
- Vendors must provide accurate contact, business, and payment information and keep that information current.
- Vendors must be legally permitted to sell their products and comply with all applicable laws and regulations.
FWYL reserves the right to approve, decline, or request changes to vendor applications and listings based on legitimate marketplace standards and applicable law.
2. Marketplace Commissions & Fees
Our fee structure is designed to make participation accessible to small businesses while supporting the continued operation, maintenance, and promotion of the marketplace.
Marketplace Fees
- Vendor registration: FREE
- Product listings: FREE
- Monthly subscription: NONE
- Marketplace commission: 15% of each product sale, plus $0.50 per item sold
The marketplace commission is deducted from the vendor’s product earnings before payment is issued.
Commission Example
For a single product sold for $30.00:
- Product sale: $30.00
- Marketplace commission (15%): $4.50
- Per-item marketplace fee: $0.50
- Vendor earnings: $25.00
Commissions are calculated on product selling prices, including applicable product discounts, and exclude separately stated shipping charges and sales tax unless otherwise required or disclosed.
Payment processing expenses associated with customer checkout are paid by FWYL from its marketplace earnings. Vendors are not charged an additional checkout processing fee under this commission structure.
Payment-provider fees associated with vendor withdrawals, if applicable, will be disclosed before the withdrawal is processed.
3. Vendor Payments & Withdrawals
Customer payments are collected through FWYL’s approved checkout system. Eligible vendor earnings are recorded in the vendor dashboard.
Payment Schedule
- Vendor payouts are processed twice monthly, on the first and third Fridays.
- A minimum eligible balance of $20 is required to request a withdrawal.
- Vendor earnings become eligible for withdrawal once the associated order is marked Completed and the applicable withdrawal waiting period has passed.
- Withdrawals may be made through approved payment methods offered by FWYL, including PayPal and bank transfer where available.
- Vendors are responsible for providing accurate payment information.
Payment processing times may vary depending on the vendor’s financial institution or payment provider.
FWYL reserves the right to temporarily hold or adjust vendor earnings when necessary to address refunds, chargebacks, suspected fraud, fulfillment disputes, or other unresolved transaction issues, subject to applicable law.
Vendors will be notified of material payment-policy changes before those changes take effect.
4. Vendor Responsibilities
Each vendor operates as an independent seller and is responsible for managing their own products and business operations.
Product Listings
Vendors must:
- Provide complete, accurate product titles, descriptions, and pricing.
- Use clear, high-quality photographs that accurately represent their products.
- Disclose relevant materials, dimensions, ingredients, allergens, or other product information when applicable.
- Maintain accurate inventory and product availability.
- Avoid misleading descriptions, unsubstantiated claims, and unauthorized use of trademarks or copyrighted materials.
FWYL may remove or request revisions to listings that do not meet marketplace standards.
Order Fulfillment
Vendors are responsible for:
- Preparing, packaging, and shipping their own merchandise.
- Clearly communicating processing and shipping estimates.
- Providing accurate shipping information and tracking when available.
- Monitoring orders and updating their fulfillment status.
- Promptly communicating with customers regarding order delays or problems.
Vendors must comply with applicable consumer protection and shipping laws. If an order cannot ship within the promised timeframe, vendors must take the necessary steps to obtain customer consent to a delay or arrange a timely cancellation and refund.
Customer Service
Vendors are expected to maintain professional and courteous communication with customers.
Questions regarding product details, shipping, delivery, and product-specific concerns should be handled promptly.
Vendors are responsible for addressing problems relating to their products and fulfillment. FWYL may intervene to assist customers, resolve complaints, or protect the integrity of the marketplace.
5. Shipping, Returns & Refunds
Vendors are responsible for establishing reasonable product-specific shipping and return policies consistent with FWYL’s marketplace standards and applicable law.
- Shipping costs and estimated delivery times must be clearly communicated before purchase.
- Vendors must fulfill orders within their stated processing timelines.
- Customers must receive products that match their descriptions.
- Vendors are responsible for resolving issues involving damaged, defective, incorrect, or missing products.
- Vendors must honor applicable cancellation, refund, and consumer protection requirements.
- Return restrictions for custom, personalized, perishable, or other special products must be clearly disclosed before purchase and may not override applicable law.
When a customer is entitled to a refund, FWYL may issue the refund through the original payment method and deduct the applicable amount from the vendor’s earnings or otherwise seek reimbursement.
Marketplace commissions associated with refunded purchases will be adjusted according to the marketplace’s published refund procedures.
6. Chargebacks & Payment Disputes
A chargeback occurs when a customer disputes a payment through their card issuer or financial institution.
Vendors must cooperate with FWYL in resolving payment disputes by providing requested documentation, which may include order records, shipping confirmation, tracking information, and customer communications.
When a dispute results from vendor error, failure to fulfill an order, misrepresentation, or another vendor-controlled issue, the vendor may be responsible for the resulting refund and reasonable, documented chargeback expenses.
FWYL will review disputed transactions and may withhold corresponding earnings while an investigation is ongoing.
7. Marketplace Niche & Product Standards

- Products that infringe intellectual property rights.

- Products that otherwise violate applicable law or our published product standards.
FWYL reserves the right to review, reject, or remove products inconsistent with the marketplace’s documented standards.
Participation is based on legitimate business and product criteria, not a requirement that vendors personally subscribe to any particular religious belief.
8. Product Safety, Licensing & Legal Compliance
Vendors are responsible for ensuring that their products comply with applicable federal, state, and local laws.
This includes, when applicable:
- Food preparation, labeling, and licensing requirements.
- Cosmetic and personal care product regulations.
- Product safety standards and warnings.
- Children’s product safety and labeling requirements.
- Intellectual property and advertising laws.
- Any necessary permits, inspections, registrations, or certifications.
Products such as food, supplements, skincare items, and children’s merchandise may be subject to additional review before approval.
Vendors must promptly notify FWYL of product recalls, safety concerns, regulatory violations, or other circumstances that could place customers at risk.
FWYL may suspend or remove affected products while concerns are reviewed.
9. Taxes & Business Compliance
Vendors are independent businesses and are responsible for maintaining their own business records, licenses, permits, and required tax registrations.
FWYL will administer checkout sales-tax collection and remittance where legally required of the marketplace operator.
Vendors remain responsible for their own income taxes and any other tax obligations not legally assigned to FWYL.
Vendors agree to provide accurate tax information and any documentation reasonably required for tax reporting or compliance.
10. Store Management & Platform Access
Approved vendors receive access to marketplace tools for managing their storefronts, product listings, inventory, and orders.
Vendors are responsible for safeguarding their account credentials and keeping their business information current.
FWYL reserves the right to:
- Review and moderate listings.
- Correct or remove inaccurate or noncompliant content.
- Temporarily restrict account features when necessary.
- Perform website maintenance, updates, and security improvements.
- Modify marketplace functionality as the platform evolves.
While FWYL works to maintain a reliable marketplace, uninterrupted website access, specific sales volumes, or guaranteed revenue cannot be promised.
FWYL is not responsible for ordinary business losses resulting solely from temporary website downtime, except as otherwise required by law.
11. Independent Vendor Relationship
Vendors participate as independent sellers and are not employees, partners, franchisees, or agents of Farm Where You Live Market.
Each vendor is responsible for their business operations, products, fulfillment, required insurance, and applicable legal obligations.
Participation in the marketplace does not guarantee sales, exposure, or a particular level of income.
12. Vendor Conduct & Professional Standards
We want Farm Where You Live Market to be a welcoming and dependable place for customers and sellers.
Vendors are expected to:
- Communicate respectfully with shoppers and marketplace staff.
- Fulfill orders professionally and honestly.
- Resolve customer concerns in good faith.
- Respect customer privacy and protect personal information.
- Refrain from harassment, fraud, deceptive conduct, and misuse of marketplace tools.
Customer information received through the marketplace may be used only for legitimate order fulfillment, customer service, and other purposes permitted by law and the marketplace’s privacy policies.
13. Suspension & Termination
FWYL may suspend, restrict, or terminate vendor accounts for reasons including:
- Repeated customer complaints or unresolved fulfillment issues.
- Fraudulent, misleading, or prohibited listings.
- Violations of marketplace policies or applicable law.
- Failure to maintain required licensing or product safety standards.
- Abusive, threatening, or unprofessional conduct.
- Prolonged inactivity or persistent failure to respond to orders and customers.
Where appropriate, FWYL may provide notice and an opportunity to correct an issue before termination.
Serious safety concerns, fraud, or other substantial risks may require immediate suspension.
Termination does not eliminate a vendor’s responsibility for outstanding orders, refunds, disputes, or other existing obligations.
Eligible remaining vendor balances will be reconciled and paid according to applicable requirements after necessary adjustments.
14. Liability & Indemnification
Vendors are responsible for the products they sell, the accuracy of their representations, and their fulfillment of customer orders.
To the extent permitted by applicable law, vendors agree to indemnify and hold harmless Farm Where You Live Market and its owners, representatives, and affiliates against third-party claims, losses, damages, liabilities, and reasonable legal expenses arising from:
- Defective, unsafe, or unlawfully sold vendor products.
- Misleading or inaccurate vendor product representations.
- Infringement of another party’s intellectual property rights.
- Vendor violations of applicable laws or these policies.
- Vendor negligence or misconduct.
This provision does not require a vendor to indemnify FWYL for losses caused by FWYL’s own negligence, misconduct, or other conduct for which responsibility cannot lawfully be shifted.
Nothing in these policies limits rights or remedies that cannot legally be waived.
15. Policy Updates
FWYL may update these policies as the marketplace grows or as operational, legal, or technology requirements change.
Vendors will receive notice of material changes through email, their vendor dashboard, or another appropriate communication method.
Material changes to commission rates or payout terms will apply prospectively following reasonable notice, except where immediate changes are legally required.
Continued use of the marketplace after the effective date of properly communicated updates constitutes acceptance of the revised terms, to the extent permitted by law.
16. Agreement to Terms
By applying for a vendor account or participating in Farm Where You Live Market, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to abide by these Vendor Policies & Marketplace Agreement.
We look forward to supporting your business and working together to create a marketplace that celebrates homegrown, handmade, and intentional living.
